I met Sean last year, and we quickly became friends. After going on many hikes in the fall and winter, we went to Newfoundland over Spring Break. He was a truly friendly, funny, and caring person, and I feel extremely lucky to have known him.
I'm a sophomore studying mechanical engineering. My weeks may be filled with problem sets, but my weekends are filled with hiking and climbing! I'm very active in the MIT Outing Club, and enjoy bagging peaks in the White Mountains. During the summer, I like to hike in my home state of Washington.
To prepare for the race, I'm increasing my mileage every week and going on at least one long run per week. I like mixing it up with other forms of exercise, including biking, hiking, and climbing.
